The learning takes place in a special Learning Management System (LSM) – www.e-hotelschool.lv, where HOTEL SCHOOL lecturers publish teaching materials, independent assignments, conduct webinars, as well as organize examinations and tests.
At the beginning of the study process, each student is provided with individual introductory training on the use of the Learning Management System (LSM), the content and requirements of the educational program. The specific date and time that a student must devote to learning is not regulated – there is no lecture schedule. It is important to submit completed assignments within the deadline set by the assessor. Assessors provide group and individual consultations to explain teaching materials and the assignments.
There is no internship planned for the Business program, but for the Hospitality Management program you cannot do without practical work skills! To obtain them, it is offered to attend intensive resident training at HOTEL SCHOOL at least once or to do an internship at the hotel at your resident location. The internship placement is provided by HOTEL SCHOOL or the student finds it independently, if, for example, the student already works in a hotel or wants to apply for an internship closer to home.
Collection of teaching materials
Exclusively for e-Learning students, HOTEL SCHOOL teachers have developed unique e-books and instructional videos that are available in our e-Learning management system. They are specifically adapted to the digital format – the texts of the books have larger letters, the materials have many colourful illustrations and infographics.
Many teaching materials in the Hospitality Management program are written in three languages - Latvian, Russian and English, as well as glossary of professional terminology is included in all books. This means that first-year students of the Hospitality Management program can start learning in Latvian or Russian with a gradual transition to English. Business program is offered in English only. E-learning students also have access to HOTEL SCHOOL’s subscribed electronic online databases of study materials and scientific articles – Emerald and e-Lanbook, which provide up-to-date hospitality industry knowledge.
The program tuition fee is EUR 2,500 per year for EU citizens and EUR 2,500 per year for non-EU citizens. It is possible to pay by semester and month.
BTEC programs charge a one-time registration fee of EUR 500 for registration in the Edexcel Online system in the UK. Registration fee must be paid after the signing of the agreement. Admission to the program is free of charge.
Opportunity to start training at any time, because admission to e-Learning programs takes place all year round!

All study materials are constantly updated to provide an insight into current developments in the professional field.
Easy storage and multiple access to collect material – students are not limited and can use a variety of information sources, research materials and teaching tools through the HOTEL SCHOOL e-Learning management system.
Suitable for different types of learners – opportunity to independently plan your time when performing tasks without unnecessary stress!
Oļegs Ņikadimovs, docent, author of e-Learning materials:
“We, teachers, are constantly improving our knowledge to keep up with the times and be able to offer students technologically advanced learning content. The materials created by HOTEL SCHOOL are truly progressive, up-to-date and visually appealing.”
I would like to emphasise that e-Learning students can switch to classroom learning and vice versa, as long as there is a necessity or need. Thus, the HOTEL SCHOOL e-Learning method guarantees the possibility to complete the education in any circumstances, even if the student has to suddenly change their place of residence, which is not uncommon nowadays.
