“HOTEL SCHOOL” Hotel Management College was my only and most right choice after graduating from high school! Teaching in college was a particularly important phase of life that opened up a lot of new perspectives and broaden my horizons. An international British diploma, paid internships in different European countries, interesting field trips in different hotels and skilled teachers are my “TOP REASONS” why I have chosen this college!

As a secretary of Student Parliament at "HOTEL SCHOOL", I actively participated in the organization work, which is an important part of the learning process, where students' views are heard and taken into account. In my opinion, the involvement of students in the organizational processes is worth gold! Thanks to the international British diploma, I will now have the opportunity to continue my studies at University of Derby, where I will get a bachelor's diploma within 1 year of studies!

I spent a long time choosing where to go next after school. I considered different options and various countries, since I am a citizen of Belarus. I definitely made the right decision when I chose HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College!

Riga is a beautiful city with a rich history. The school has the best location: right in the city center, so it was a pleasure to attend classes every day.

The teachers speak excellent English; many of them have scientific degrees. They will be able not only to prepare you for the job, but also to become your friends, since the school always had a friendly atmosphere.

I would especially like to express my gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus programme. I was able to visit Barcelona, Milan and Sardinia. I made new friends and gained invaluable professional experience.

After HOTEL SCHOOL, I was accepted for further studies at the University of Derby, where I received a bachelor's degree.

I am really enjoying my studies at HOTEL SCHOOL, as I have previous working experience in the hospitality industry. I have chosen this college because of the possibility to proceed studies in English and at the end of the studies to be awarded the UK "Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management", as well as the 4th level Latvian professional qualification “Hotel Services Organizer".

In the course of studies, the practical component is of great importance, and I am really satisfied with professional attitude from the lecturers and college administration. Study environment is positive and multi-cultural, as we have a lot of foreign students. College is organising frequent field trips to different hotels, so the students can see how theoretical knowledge is translated into the real working environment. HOTEL SCHOOL also has organised a trip to the university in Switzerland, where students can continue their education by admitting to higher level education programs immediately in the 2nd or even 3rd year of studies.

I really see how HOTEL SCHOOL is helping me to develop my personality and professionalism that are needed in the hospitality sector. I want to say THANK YOU for their efforts. Knowledge is confidence – and we are getting more confident every day here in the HOTEL SCHOOL!

In November 2018, I was lucky to join the international business cruise "Intercultural Communication in Businesses". Not only did I have a unique opportunity to gain experience and knowledge from leading universities professors, and to present our HOTEL SCHOOL among other students and teachers from different countries, but also to see the cities of Italy, Spain and France. The information we learned at the lectures will be an invaluable basis for my future career. How to work with different cultures and nationalities? Why should we be loyal to each other? And why we're all different? Answers to all these questions, we received during the lecture, where we not only listened to the lecturer, but also had a variety of team work, games and various tasks. At the end of the cruise ship trip we all became a team and began to understand each other better! We also received certificates of lectures and made a lot of new friends and professional connections!

English language as the main studying language was something new to me, the same was British evaluation system. The opportunity to study only for 2 years and get two diplomas at the same time was very appealing. But I quickly got used to it. I also liked the fact that unlike other colleges, HOTEL SCHOOL RIGA has no exam week at the end of each semester - all you need is just to pass all the assignments and tests in time during the semester. I was more than just pleased with the tutors, who were hospitality industry professionals and gave real insights into our future professions. While studying at the BTEC British higher education programme, I especially appreciated the opportunity to meet students from other countries who have decided to study in Riga. At the moment I started my new position at the front office in a 4-star hotel located in Riga Old Town. Practical and academic knowledge that I have received in HOTEL SCHOOL RIGA will help me to prove myself and build a successful career in hospitality!

I'm very grateful to all HOTEL SCHOOL lecturers for their help, advice and professional knowledge that have helped me to develop all the necessary skills and competences to succeed in the hospitality industry. Currently I hold a position of an F&B Outlets Supervisor at 5* hotel Vinpearl Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The job is very challenging and at times stressful and it's a very responsible position. Now I'm getting to realize how professional training and knowledge that I gained during my studies in the college helped me to be much better prepared for the real life challenges!

When I started my studies in HOTEL SCHOOL, the biggest challenge for me, no doubt, has become English language. During the 2 years of studying, I have improved my language skills and have overcome the language barrier, so I'm very pleased for myself, as well as I have earned internationally recognized British diploma. I would like thank college's professional and renowned tutors, who gave me not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical advices. Im hoping continue my studies in the field of hospitality. At the moment I'm working as a front office employee in one of the leading hotel in Riga, employee. This is my first step in building successful career in hotel management and it all depends on me now, how hard I'm willing to work to reach the top!

Paid summer internship in Spain and Erasmus+ financial support was a great opportunity for us to explore new cultures, meet other students, gain new knowledge and skills. We have been placed in Spain, Calella (near Barcelona) in a 4-star hotel Bon Repos, and were warmly greeted by the managers and fellow students. Working in entertainment department we have enhanced our communication skills and gained better understating of different cultures and guest age groups. Many thanks to HOTEL SCHOOL for this amazing summer! It was the best time of our lives!

We have had a great opportunity to have summer internship in Spain. That was a great chance to reach new distance and work in multicultural environment. To meet and work with people from different countries, gain experience in customer service and learn new cultures. Moreover, this internship helped in self development and improving skills, as communication and some technical. We became more open minded and independent. Learned to work in small and big teams. Our internship held in small city Malgrat de Mar on the coast Costa Bravo. We had experience in the restaurant of 4 star hotel. We worked 6 days per week and just 1 day off. On our free days we went to the nearest cities. Spain was very nice and unforgettable. We are glad and thankful for such a great experience!

Due to the fact that in Latvia I studied with good grades for two years and received internationally recognized British diploma, in the UK I was able to enroll in the last year of the "International Tourism Management" bachelor’s program at Coventry University London.
