Project Aim

X-VET aims to equip VET institutions, educators, and learners with structured sustainability and digital learning skills, ensuring alignment with the EU Green and Digital Transition. The project develops innovative training frameworks, an Integrated Sustainability MOOC, and sustainability-driven hackathons to foster experiential learning and industry collaboration. By providing formal certification and disseminating results, X-VET ensures a long-term impact that drives sustainable transformation across the VET sector.

• X-VET MOOC Development: Providing structured learning pathways for VET stakeholders.
• Hackathon Guide Design: Implementing local Sustainability Hackathons to foster real-world problem-solving.
• Training of Trainers Programs: Equipping educators with sustainability-driven teaching strategies.
• Certification System: Establishing a framework for the formal recognition of acquired competencies.
• Dissemination & Upscaling: Ensuring widespread impact through multiplier events, conferences, and strategic partnerships.

Work Packages

The project’s operational structure is divided into five key pillars:

• WP1 focuses on Project Management;
• WP2 involves the creation of the Integrated Sustainability Workbook;
• WP3 centers on the development of the MOOC;
• WP4 oversees the Integrated Sustainability Hackathons;
• WP5 handles Dissemination, Sustainability, and Certification to ensure the project’s results are upscaled and sustained across Europe.

Collaborative Partnership

Led by the project coordinator, Werkstatt Berufskolleg (Germany), the initiative leverages a diverse trans-European network of expertise. The consortium includes ACCELERAS KG (Austria), Pučko otvoreno učilište Čakovec (Croatia), Ilmiolavoro srl (Italy), “HOTEL SCHOOL” Viesnīcu biznesa koledža (Latvia), ICEP s.r.o. (Slovakia), and Tehnička škola Pirot (Serbia).
