Undertaking traineeship in a legendary restaurant in Rome
This summer, we shared the inspiring story of two of our learners undertaking a traineeship at the legendary Roman restaurant “Don Pasquale”—a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World association, featured in the Michelin Guide, and awarded Best Hotel Restaurant in Italy 2024.
Now, Vyacheslav has successfully completed his traineeship, and we are delighted to share his reflections alongside photos capturing his work and experiences at “Don Pasquale”.
“I participated in Erasmus+ internship in Rome. Here you can see half of the team that I have worked with for 1.5 months from July to August. You can see the kitchen I have worked in and the storage, where all the products are stored in order of shelves, fridges and freezers. You can also see some of the jobs I have done, including making cookies, weighing dough balls for freezing, baking muffins, preparing tarts for service, vacuuming chicken and pasta dough, as well as grating a huge amount of Parmesan cheese. As you can tell, mostly I worked in the bakery of the restaurant, but sometimes I did some work in the main kitchen too. I am really grateful for this opportunity and for the colleagues I worked with. I have learned a lot and met incredible people. Thank you!”
