“A World of Cuisine”: the Mobility of Students in Latvia, Day 3
Within Erasmus projects, every day is filled with new impressions, experiences, and exciting moments. The third day of the Erasmus+ project “A World of Cuisine” (project No. 2021-1-TR-KA210VET-000029335) was no exception. Together with HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College’s partners Dr. Sadık Ahmet Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi (Turkey) and Colegiul Vasile Lovinescu (Romania) we saw, learned and tasted a lot!
The morning of Wednesday, September 28, 2022, started with a fragrant and tasty presentation of Turkish cuisine by Turkish partners. We learned lots of information about the traditions of Turkish cuisine, commonly used products, and cooking methods, and also tasted a wide selection of Turkish spices and various Turkish traditional sweets.
Later Roman Artamonovs, the chef of HOTEL SCHOOL, offered the project participants a master class “Innovations in the Kitchen”, showing some authentic cooking methods.
During this day we also learned more about Romanian traditional cuisine by participating in the presentation of Romanian partners about the practices, recipes, cooking methods and typical variety of Romanian cuisine.
While continuing exploration of Latvian culinary traditions, we went to the Riga Central Market, showing Turkish and Romanian guests characteristic food ingredients and special delicacies of our region.
The end of this active day took place in the LIDO Leisure Centre, enjoying both traditional Latvian dishes and the delicious LIDO kvass.
We thank the Erasmus+ programme for the opportunity to organize such useful and interesting activities!
The project “A World of Cuisine”, No. 2021-1-TR-KA210VET-000029335, is co-financed by the European Union.
