On December 13, 2025, participants of our FREE Introductory Course about Life in Latvia visited the National Library of Latvia together with HOTEL SCHOOL lecturer Iveta Vanaga.

The visit gave participants the opportunity to explore the wide range of services offered by this cultural institution of national importance — from access to knowledge resources and learning spaces to cultural events open to everyone. They also had the chance to experience one of the most iconic landmarks of Riga’s modern architecture, often referred to as the Castle of Light, which symbolises education, culture, and the value of lifelong learning in Latvia.

Such visits help newcomers better understand Latvian society, discover valuable public resources, and feel more confident engaging with cultural and educational life in their new home.
