Hosting the methodological workshop on Digital Skills for Twin Transition
From November 25-29, 2024, HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College has hosted the methodological workshop “Digital Skills for Twin Transition: Integration of Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Aspect and Use of Simulations Software for Teaching and Learning Processes” in the framework of the project “Horizontal VET Capacity Building for internationalisation and modernisation including innovation, digitalisation and sustainability by methodology transfer and exchange of good practices”, project No. 101129249.
During the five days of intensive work, various topics were presented by the project partners. For example, HOTEL SCHOOL’s Development Director, Mg. Paed., MIB Olga Zvereva presented the topics “Enhancing Digital Skills and Competences for the Digital Transformation. The Use of DigComp 2.2.”,“The Sustainable Hospitality Digitalisation Competence Framework for VET Educators”, and others; Dr. Neno Gabelia, the Head of the Study Department at ITALIAN HOSPITALITY SCHOOL, presented the topic “Review of simulation software worldwide offers for hospitality and culinary arts”; Artem Kavara, Lecturer, Software Engineer and Automation Specialist at Volyn Professional College NUFT, presented the topic “Artificial Intelligence Usage for Achieving Sustainable Management in Hospitality”. Our colleague, Mg. oec., docent Dzintars Prieditis has conducted several “Knowledge Matters” and “CESIM” simulations, thus enhancing participants’ competencies by practically applying their skills.
We thank our partners, ITALIAN HOSPITALITY SCHOOL (Italy), Volyn Professional College NUFT (Ukraine), and Don Bosco Youth Educational Center (Ukraine) for actively engaging in the sessions of the workshop!
