HOTEL SCHOOL hosted methodological workshop for modernisation and internationalisation of the educational institutions
From May 27–31, 2024, HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College hosted a methodological workshop for modernisation and internationalisation of educational institutions in the framework of the CB-VET plus project “Horizontal VET Capacity Building for internationalisation and modernisation including innovation, digitalisation and sustainability by methodology transfer and exchange of good practices”, project No. 101129249.
During the five days of the workshop, many HOTEL SCHOOL administrative and academic staff members presented the partners with profound insight into selected topics. For example, the Head of HOTEL SCHOOOL, Mg. edu Julija Pasnaka, elaborated on the topic “Embedding EU priorities and values in educational institutions long-term development strategy”; HOTEL SCHOOL Development Director, Mg. paed., MIB Olga Zvereva covered several topics, such as “International cooperation and mobility projects practices for modernisation and internationalisation of the educational organisation”, “Design thinking for the development and designs of the project results in the international cooperation and mobility projects”, “Quality of the cooperation project results” and several more; HOTEL SCHOOL Moodle administrator Dr. oec., Konstantīns Savenkovs explored the topic “Moodle software for modernisation of the educational organisation, its study programmes and processes, diversification of the product portfolio with embedding digital and green skills for twin transition”; a lecturer Mg. oec., Mg. phil. Jekaterina Korjuhina presented the topic “Digitalisation in English Language Teaching methodologies and effective teaching / learning practices in vocational study programmes”.The representative of another project partner, Italian Hospitality School (Italy), R. Shabab, elaborated on the topic “Use and design of innovations and computer games in the hospitality industry business and educational processes”.
We are certain that the acquired extensive knowledge and shared practices will positively benefit all the partner institutions, resulting in modernisation of the processes, new international projects, and a better understanding of innovative and modern teaching and learning methodologies.
