From June 2018 to October 2019, students and vocational education specialists of HOTEL SCHOOL participated in the Erasmus+ Program project “Mobility in VET” (project number: 2018-1-LV01-KA102-046729). The trainees had the opportunity to gain practical work experience in hotels in Italy, Spain and Greece, while the educators had the opportunity to pursue professional development in foreign educational institutions and hospitality industry related enterprises in Portugal, Spain, Italy and the UK. In total, more than 30 mobilities were implemented.

For the first time in Latvia students could participate in the long-term mobility lasting up to 6 months! Comparing with short term mobilities they also achieved better results. For example, students who completed a 6-month trainee-ship in Italian hotels learned Italian language and passed Italian language exam at B2 level at the end of their internship (they achieved only A1 level at the first test). The other participants of the project have also grown professionally and personally.

The project was implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
