Invitation to International Sustainable Gastronomy and Digital Chefs Congress in Karabük, Türkiye

In collaboration with our project partner, Karabük University, we are pleased to inform you about the opportunity to attend the International Sustainable Gastronomy and Digital Chefs Congress that will take place on May 22–23, 2026 in Karabük, Turkey. The event is organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project No. 2024-1-TR01-KA220-VET-000245625 “Master Chef Simulator: Sustainable Gastronomy Training Through VR”.

The congress aims to examine sustainable gastronomy education from a multidimensional perspective, with particular emphasis on:

  • The integration of sustainable gastronomy principles and the Slow Food approach into gastronomy curricula
  • Preservation of local culinary heritage
  • Ethical production and responsible consumption models
  • The role of digital learning environments in culinary education
  • Emerging applications of virtual and augmented reality technologies in gastronomy and culinary arts
  • Theoretical frameworks, practical methodologies, and current scientific research in the field

This academic platform will facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue and foster collaboration across education, industry, and research domains.

The congress program will feature:

Applications must be made by submitting an abstract. Deadline for Submission of Abstracts: April 10, 2026.

Participation in the congress is entirely free of charge. There are no registration, submission, or publication fees. Submission and publication of abstracts and full-text papers are also free.
