Learning, Volunteering, and Growing Together in Italy
Last summer, HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College offered a unique opportunity for our adult learners to take part in individual learning mobilities to Italy. The programme combined meaningful learning and real-world experience, including lessons on the European Union, European identity, citizenship, and shared values; volunteering with a local NGO to strengthen entrepreneurial and social skills; practical training to develop digital competencies; activities focused on strengthening green skills; and a rich cultural programme.
Below, we are happy to share photos captured by our participant, Zinta. She also reflects on one of the days of her mobility experience:
“Today, our group visited the association ‘Andrea Tudisco’ as volunteers. We had great fun playing with the children while their mothers prepared food for their babies. We drew, worked with plasticine, and played on the terrace. We also helped clean the guest room. We became very attached to the children and were truly happy to spend time with them.”
Experiences like these create lasting memories, foster empathy, and help our learners grow not only professionally, but also personally.
