Horizontal VET Capacity Building Project for internationalisation and modernisation

The VET CAPACITY BUILDING PROJECT is aimed at building capacity and fostering internationalisation and modernization of the VET providers from the Western region of Ukraine, Latvia, and Italy to strengthen private-public cooperation, improve the quality and responsiveness of VET to economic and social developments, align VET provision to local, regional, and national development strategies in the areas of VET teachers and trainers professional development, innovation in VET, and the development of green and digital skills of the project stakeholders for the twin transition through methodology transfer and practical training delivered by the two experienced European VET providers.
Horizontally aligned VET providers of tertiary and non-tertiary levels with the focus on the hospitality, tourism and food production will produce the four work packages including:
- WP1 “Project management and coordination”,
- WP2 “Professional development of VET teachers / trainers from Ukraine”
- WP3 “Embedding green skills and digital innovations in VET curriculum in Ukraine”
- WP4 “Dissemination of project results”, where the WP2 will include the five methodological workshops in Latvia and Italy for modernisation and internationalisation of the educational institutions, regarding green skills for twin transition: embedding ESDGC in the curricula and teaching and learning processes, digital skills for twin transition: integration of sustainable hospitality digitalisation aspect and use of simulations software for teaching and learning processes, also use and design of innovations and computer games in the hospitality industry business and educational processes, and NO LEFTOVER Culinary Arts for VET educators.
The project will support the development of eight methodological toolkits in Ukranian to transfer innovative and modern methodologies across the region and create wider access to and use of the accumulated knowledge by EU VET providers, fostering the sustainability of the developed innovative projects.
The project CB-VET plus project No. 101129249 gathers together four partners: HOTEL SCHOOL Hotel Management College, Italian Hospitality School SRL (Italy), National University of Food Technologies (Ukraine) and Don Bosco Youth Educational Center (Ukraine).






Methodological toolkits, published by the partners
Six educational toolkits have been prepared for implementation in the curricula of professional disciplines in the hospitality sphere of VET institutions for use in Ukraine’s vocational and technical education institutions. Electronic format. The language is Ukrainian, with an explanation of certain parts of the toolkit in English/ German/Polish/Slovak. A reference guide, presentations, means of monitoring, cases/situational tasks, and a glossary are included.
Curricula for professional disciplines in the hospitality field for vocational and technical education (VET) institutions have been modernized.
